Curd-plum-poppy seed strudel



1 packet puff pastry

400 g twaroh (curd)


2 egg yolks

2 egg whites beaten

4-6 plums quartered

Ground poppy seed

Marzipan and sour cherry philo roll (Marcipános-meggyes rétes)


The sweetness of the marzipan and the sourness of the cherries make a good combo in the mouth.


1 pack philo pastry

400 g sour cherry thawed from frozen

100 g white marzipan

2 egg yolks

4 tbsp sweet crumbs


Beat the egg yolks with the marzipan. Add the drained sour cherries.

Divide the pastry to two and brush every single sheet with oil and make two layered sheets.

Scatter the third of the layered sheets with two tablespoons of sweet crumbs. Divide the cherry mixture between the sheets on top of the crumbs.

Roll the sheets and place on a baking tray.

Brush with oil and bake in the oven at 200 C° for 25 minutes.

When it’s golden, remove from the oven put on a rack and let them cool to room temperature.

Cut slices, dust with icing sugar and serve.
